Stock Watch 9.12.11 ” Flags of Patriotism”
I’ll admit I’m not always the most patriotic US citizen. However, it”s hard not to wear a heavy heart on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. I think all of us can remember exactly where we were that day and what we were doing the moment we first heard the news. While watching 9/11 tributes and the NFL opening ceremonies I couldn’t help but look at the oversized US Flag and think of all the men and women since the inception of America who have defended and protected the rights of that flag. We see the stars and stripes flag almost everyday but we often lose sight of it’s true meaning. If you live in a country that is even a semi democracy, your flag bears the stories of men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice defending it’s principles, standing up for it’s rights and preserving it’s integrity. Take a moment to thank those men and women.
