I cant forget all the great moments trading stocks has brought me , the freedom, the money and the friends I’ve made. Thinking about this helps me ignore such slothy market days like Thursday. Granite, I’ve had worse days but the action was so dull it was borderline ridiculous. For new traders these days are the worst because they test your emotional boundaries and patience. Your natural impulse to trade, or to feel like you need to be in a trade normally leads you into taking less than stellar risk to reward plays. That almost always leads to disaster and takes what was just a boring day and turns it into a boring losing day, much worse. Sometimes sitting on your hands is best. Cash is a position too.
