New blog post : Reasons We Dont Achieve Our Goals

A big part of your success will be a reflection of your preparation. If you take a look at last night’s watchlist, you can view it here, we talked about the various plays on YPF. On Wednesday that was our biggest play by far not only did we pick up a $1 move right the open but we were able to reverse the position once selling gaining another $1 on the way down. It’s not often that you’re able to bottom tick and top tick the same stock within 30 minutes but when you’re prepared and you have a game plan you will always most likely find yourself in a favorable scenario. Watchlist $PXLW $GPRO $AHT $LL

PXLW

It seems like almost every day now we are seeing monster moves from single digit stocks. Today’s beast was PXLW. This was a direct beneficiary of a seeking alpha the article and those things can be hit and miss. Sometimes the moves are short-lived and other times, as in the case of PXLW, the move lasted pretty much all day. If you look at the chart it’s no surprise that the stock stalled out around nine dollars because that was resistance from March so we will use that number as a gauge for continuing upside. As with all of these big movers be careful not to chase in the early morning strength, let the stocks set up first.

GPRO

Now that the IPO hype has worn off of GPRO the stock has settled in to a really nice base around $43 and might be ready for another move up. We’ve got good support down in the lower 41s and is held solid in this area for the last four days. I think if there’s going to be another leg to the upside 45 is the number we need to focus on. Three out of the last four days GPRO has moved to $45 but unable to break it. If you can we could see a move to $50

AHT

Not too bad of a long setup here with this AHT today’s close to look out the highs from three days ago and is pretty close to the whole number of $12 which was the highs from March. If you can get a move over 12 there’s a possible $13 -$14 print in this

LL

This thing was falling apart towards the end of the session and then totally got barbecued after hours. This thing is down almost $21 since the open. Right now this is on radar for a potential oversold bounce play. However, be careful with these earnings beat downs. A stock of this caliber with this kind of price tag could see a lot more panic when the market opens tomorrow. I can’t make any predictions but if we get a big flush and a big panic early I will look to long around whole numbers. If it’s spikes I probably would look to short whatever morning strength it may have, if any.
