5 Things You Must Do To Be Successful
Stop procrastinating on your goals.
Many people dream of success while others wake up and work hard at it. For many people the hardest part is just taking the first step. We all have dreams and ideas but putting those into reality is the challenge. The longer we put things off the scarier they become and of course the longer we put things off the less likely we are to do them. You will need disciple and commitment to make that first step but just take it . Don’t worry about the long term prospects in the beginning, just focus on getting the ball rolling and building momentum towards your dreams.
Stop making excuses.
Blaming other people for your failures and your circumstances are simply excuses that will thwart you from ever achieving anything of value. Sure some people may have a better starting point ( more money, support etc ) but that doesn’t mean you can not be wildly successful , Take responsibility for the things you do wrong and learn from them. The faster you do that the sooner you will achieve what you set out to do
Stop Talking Bad To Yourself.
Berating yourself is a very unhealthy habit but one that is more widespread than most would like to admit. A negative self talk is very destructive. Much of our self-talk is reasonable like “I’d better work a little harder”, or ‘”I need to pick up the pace” etc. However, some of our self-talk is negative, unrealistic or self-defeating like “I’m going to fail for sure”, or “I’m a loser! etc. Try disputing bad thoughts with good facts about yourself. You may feel you are underachieving but I am sure you have came a long way in life and you have succeeded to a certain extent. Be proud of what you have accomplished.
Stop Living In The Past.
I never believe anyone who says they have no regrets. We all have done something we wish we could take back. We have all embarrassed ourselves and done some questionable stuff. That is part of life’s journey. When we hold on to the past and we are unable to forgive ourselves our bitterness gets deeper and deeper and at some point it will destroy you. It is important for us to live in the now and concentrate on making things right today rather than labeling ourselves from past transgressions.
Stop Being ungrateful.
No matter how good or how bad you have it be thankful that you are here . According to scientific research from Harvard, there was only a 1 in 400 million chance that you were even born. The fact that you are here and you are alive and reading this is a miracle in itself. Life, as much as we may think it is. is not solely based on financial gain. There are several millionaires who have killed themselves and committed evil crimes. Happiness comes from being grateful for those you have around you and for you respecting your life’s accomplishments.
