Every once and a while you get a ” hamster wheel” day. What is a “hamster wheel” day? This is a day when you completely spin your wheels desperately looking for a trade because the 30 stocks you are watching have nothing to offer. You do this because you feel compelled to trade something because the market is open. These days always remind me of hamsters when they run on those exercise wheels. They can run on those things for hours and no matter how hard or fast they run, they won’t move an inch. Thursday was such a day. After searching through 70 + charts I found nothing I could really get behind. I found in the past that forcing trades or obsessively looking for trades is bad news. My point, if nothing is available it’s ok to call it a day and move away from your computer. Sometimes that’s the best thing.
SOLR
Was up on contract news but unable to sustain it. I really had my eye on this as a short around 9.20’s but I missed the entry. Was really on of the only shorts that could have worked Thursday. Keep an eye on early fades to start shorts.
ZQK
Good revs and under accumulation. This could go in either direction tomorrow. Probably see another up day on this but I don’think it will be a 20% one. Like to buy if no gap up. If I miss the buy I’ll look to short when the run is done.
LEDS
Another China IPO. I passed on the long opportunities with DANG and YOKU so maybe LEDS can pop heavy tomorrow. i was close to buying late and holding overnight but the chart became very weak. We will see Friday may have to buy pre market .
CRME
This was another short that had potential Thursday. Still a great looking chart for a short especially if it spikes in the morning and fails to take out Thursdays highs.
ZAGG
A stock I have had some success with in the past. Maybe in this market ZAGG can run to 8.60/70 and break out. If not shorts are pretty good off those fades
DEXO
Kinda went flat Thursday but now the chart is basing a little in this area. If it goes green above $8 you could see a big run if not shorts will start to pile in.
