You may have seen the recent film Dorian Gray .Dorian Gray is a young and handsome man whose well-off friend Lord Henry takes him to an art-loving painter, Basil Hallward. The painter obsessed with his robust handsomeness paints a picture of Dorian Gray, that makes Dorian wish to stop aging. His wish is fulfilled and the picture starts aging instead of young Dorian. One of the morals is that the way you see Dorian is not really how he his. His true shape is hidden.
The morals of Dorian Gray can relate to your conscience state as a trader. We often distort the images and facts that are in front of us and opt to see what we choose to see rather that what is really happening. As a trader you choose to either search for justifications or you roll with it,preferably the latter. This is one of the most difficult adjustments for new traders because it takes time to override you brains natural instinct to be right.
