Stock Watch 10.7.11 ” The Emperors New Clothes”

The Emperors New Clothes is a story of a vain Emperor whose only worry in life was to dress in elegant clothes. He was so hung up on himself that he was swindled into believing he was wearing a fabric that was invisible to anyone who was too stupid and incompetent to appreciate its quality.  When in fact he was wearing nothing at all.

The story has a few morals in that you should never believe in something so much that it distorts your reality. As we see in the markets the traders who allow ego, bravery and the ” I’m to smart to screw this up”attitude to outweigh common sense will always fail. Also, the moral is that one shouldn’t believe in every authority or in everyone who thinks himself to be better than you. The emperor isn’ta better man because of his title or money or his fine clothes; he’s just a human being as anybody else. To read the full fairy tale click here.
