It’s hard sometimes to move past losing streaks, big losses and defeat. Truth is if you plan to be successful in this life you will find yourself at many emotional low points and how you react to those moments will determine how successful you will ultimately become. Below are a few tips to help you get back on track

Forgive Yourself– As the saying goes ” There is no reason to punish your future for the mistakes you made in the past” In order to move on from a trading set back or from any life set back period , you must be willing to forgive yourself for the mistakes you have made. Carrying the burden of regret and wishing to be able to change something you can not will eat away at you and keep your mood in the trash and you will never be able to prosper. Use your mistakes as learning experiences – not failures.

Get Back On The Horse– In the 2006  Movie Rocky Balboa there was this great line ” It ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, That’s how winning is done” As tacky as the movie was the quote however is spot on. All winners in life have had to get back up after devastating career hits. Many millionaires went bankrupt and many famous Hall Of Fame sports athletes had to come back after horrible performance streaks and injuries. The comeback is part of life and the easiest way to start the comeback is to get right back on the horse. Albeit you may need to nurse yourself back into the game slowly  but you will need to forget the pain and get back in the game

Look Around At What Is Really Important– It really does suck to lose money and sometimes the money we lose is substantial. Tony Robbins once said ” When you think your life is bad, spend time with someone worse off than you” No matter how much money you lose or how down on your luck you are somebody out there has it worse. Sometimes all we need to do is look around us at the things we do have, like family and friends, instead of the things we may not have like private jets and mansions. Focusing on the positives in our life and being proud of what we have accomplished no matter how large or small will put the true meaning of life in to perspective. Always be thankful as it could be worse

Pain Is TemporaryGlory Is Forever– Every person who has ever achieved any level of success, in any field has had to endure pain and sacrifice. All the great ones know the road will always have bumps in it. Those who embrace the process of learning and keep continuing to grow in time will always be successful. You must understand that there is always a “trade off” in life. Nothing will be perfect and in order to get something you will have to give up something. You will have to decide if the pain of sacrifice to live your dream is worth it. I say, if its truly your dream then there is no such thing a sacrifice
